Full Description

Made early 1944. This is a scarce variation, with the receiver being marked “AO”, meaning Auto Ordnance, a sub contractor of IBM. They made the receiver for IBM, who serialized it, and completed the gun. Barrel is IBM production, being undated. Bo import marks found. Band, rear sight, front sight, bolt, trigger housing, slide, hammer, stock and forearm are all IBM marked (or contractor produced). Standard parkerized finish. Stock has a light oil finish. Includes 15 round blued steel magazine, that is Saginaw production. CONDITION: Metal is very good overall, with light wear. Wood has light wear. The left side of the stock is cracked, but we’ve elected to have it remain with the rifle, as it is the correct IBM contractor production stock. Bore is shiny with very good rifling. Magazine is excellent. A scarce variation M1 carbine for your collection!
