Rare French FR-F2 Sniper Rifle

Developed in the 1980s as a squad based DMR for the French Military. It is based on the French FR-F1 series, and still using the basic MAS-36 action. These platforms saw extensive use in peacekeeping operations world wide, as while as active duty in Afghanistan. The barrel features a unique plastic heat shield that helps with cooling and prevents detection by thermal imaging. A multi positional bipod sits on the center of the gun, allowing for good balance and makes shifting positions while in prone very easy. This particular rifle has a French military property sticker on the left side the receiver. A small import mark is located on the bottom side. Matching serials on the plastic barrel assembly, receiver and bolt. The standard backup iron sights are present, in addition to the new made quick detach scope mount. Original military blued finish in oiled wood stock. The rifle includes a plethora of accessories, including two cheek pieces, multiple butt spacers, sling, manual, tool kit, rubberized protective case, and two original 10 round magazines.  CONDITION: Metal is very good overall with general wear. Wood has normal usage marks and scratches. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. One plastic foot on the bipod is missing. Accessories are all excellent overall. Less than 250 of these rifles seem to have been imported. Keep in mind, about that many FAMAS rifles were imported back in the late 1980s, and now sell for $25,000 +. Great investment gun, that have actual military history!
