Made “5/49” at the Fazakerly Arsenal. Faint South African property marked on the chamber. Import marked on the receiver. Matching serials on the receiver, barrel and fore stock. Blade front sight and 1300 yard rear ladder. Original black enamel finish. Oiled wood stock. Brass butt plate. Magazine is not numbered, looking to be WW2 Savage Production. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with natural wear. Some mixed gray patina in areas. Wood has handling marks, scrapes and scratches. Bore is mostly bright, with very good rifling. C&R eligible.
