Made circa 1860/70S by Providence Tool, likely for a foreign military contract. Typical markings on the left side of the frame. Company cartouche on the left side of the wrist. 33″ barrel with blade front sight and rear ladder adjustable to 1500 yards. Case colored frame, with the balance of parts blued. Oiled wood stock has an added protective lacquer finish. Original ramrod. CONDITION: Metal is excellent overall, with a an added layer of lacquer on most surfaces. This coating exist on the wood as well. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. Few minor pits own the bore. Tight hammer. Antique, no FFL required in most areas.
