19″ barrel. Made 1871. Likely cut down from a standard rifle. “TOWER/1871” marked on the lock plate. “SNIDER/PATENT” marked on the breech block. Various British proofs. Blade front sight and flip up rear ladder. Military blued finish. Stock has a light oil finish. Solid brass butt plate. Missing sling swivels. CONDITION: Metal has general brown patina throughout. Wood has minor dents, scrapes and scratches. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. Tight hammer. Antique, no FFL required in most areas.
