Made 1899 at Mauser Oberndorf. Early features, such as flat side plates and a large ring hammer. Standard commercial proofs. No import marks found. Matching serials on the visible numbered parts. 5-1/2″ barrel with blade front sight and rear sight marked 1-10 (1000 meters maximum). Original blued finish. Oiled wood grips are later replacements. CONDITION: Metal is a mixed gray patina throughout. Grips have light scratches and handling marks. Few surface cracks as well. Bore is heavily frosted, with poor rifling. C&R eligible.
