Full Description

This is a Miller Conversion of an 1861 U.S. musket. Done by the Meriden Manufacturing Co. in Connecticut, circa 1865-67. Only about 2000 were done, with most being delivered to the Maryland state militia. “1864” dated Parker & Snow marked lock. 39″ barrel with blade sight and 500 yard rear ladder. Metal finish is bright. Wood has been arsenal sanded and oiled. Original ram rod. CONDITION: Metal is excellent, as retaining is bright armory finish. Light cleaning/polish. Wood has light handling marks. Repaired crack on the left side of the stock. Bore is bright, with very good overall rifling. Tight hammer. A scarce gun for your collection! Antique, no FFL required in most areas.
