Made 1943. Remington barrel is dated “9-43” under a flaming bomb. “P” on the underside. No import marks found. Bolt is numbered to match, as is the stock. “Crossed Cannons”, “RA” and a boxed “FJA” inspector stamp on the left side of the wrist. Boxed “RIA/EB” arsenal cartouche on the left side of the butt stock. Circled “P” firing proof on the wrist. Most parts are marked “R”. 24″ barrel with original sights. Arsenal parkerized finish and oiled wood stock. Smooth parkerized butt plate with trapdoor for cleaning kit (none inside). CONDITION: Metal and wood are excellent overall. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. C&R eligible.
