Made circa 1943-44 for the U.S. Military in arial gunnery training and recreation purposes (clay shooting, quail hunting). Based on the Browning A5 design. “U.S.”  and a “flaming bomb” proof on the left side of the frame. Matching serials on the barrel and receiver. 26″ barrel with silver bead front sight. “MILITARY FINISH” marked blued finish. Plain oiled wood stock and forearm. Factory serrated plastic butt plate. 2-3/4″ chamber. Improved cylinder bore. CONDITION: Metal is very good overall. Wood has light scratches and scrapes. Some light surface cracks on the butt. Forearm is solid, with no visible cracks. Bore is bright and shiny. C&R eligible.
