Made circa early 1950S at the St. Etienne factory. This example is a low serial, French Military produced example. Most samples of MLE 1949 rifles in the U.S. are Syrian contract rifles. Import marked on the left Sid of the receiver. Matching serials on the receiver and dust cover. Bolt does not match. 23″ barrel with original sights. Arsenal phosphate finish and oiled wood stock. Includes original 10 round magazine, brown leather sling and black rubber butt pad. CONDITION: Metal and wood are excellent overall. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. Magazine, sling and butt pad are excellent overall. C&R eligible.
