Made circa 1912 at Steyr in Austria, for the Chilean government. Originally chambered in 7MM Mauser, but arsenal converted to 7.62X51 circa the 1960s. Nice crest on the chamber. Import marked on the barrel. Mismatched serial numbers. Nice “1912” dated cartouche on the left side of the stock. Standard sights, original blued finish and oiled wood stock. Original cleaning rod! CONDITION: Metal is very good overall, with light wear. Some freckles of surface rust on the barrel and action. Action and stock are still full of cosmoline. Wood has minor impressions, dents and scrapes. Bore is clean overall, with strong rifling. C&R eligible.
