Made circa 1916-1918 at the Mauser Oberndorf factory. Imperial proof on the right side of the chamber. “crown/U” on the left side. No import marks found. Matching serials, including the 32 line wood grips, with “9” burned and painted into the exterior of each panel. 5-1/2″ barrel with blade front sight and 500 meter tangent rear. Original blued finish. Slotted for a shoulder stock. Lanyard ring and stud are present. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with general wear. Some brown patina on the slide. Few freckles of cleaned surface rust throughout. Some surface rust under the grip panels. Grips have light wear and impressions. Bore is frosted, with good overall rifling.
